Founder of PIVOT | Author of #HealthyAdult

Lori Jean Glass is a transformational force in emotional wellness and relationship health. As the founder of PIVOT and the creator of the widely acclaimed PIVOT Process, she has helped thousands of individuals, couples, and families change the patterns that keep them stuck and build honest, connected relationships.

What sets her apart is a rare combination: deep expertise paired with hard-won lived experience. She doesn’t just teach this material. She has lived it and practiced it in a clinical setting with people in real crisis.

Her own story is where it began. Lori Jean’s early life was marked by profound loss. Her father drowned when she was a young child, and her mother died by suicide when Lori Jean was a teenager. She moved through attachment wounds, self-sabotaging patterns, and a mental health system that handed her labels that never felt true to who she was. Over-diagnosed and under-treated, she went looking for a more compassionate and effective path to healing. When she couldn’t find it, she set out to build it.

Her path into behavioral health was anything but traditional. Lori Jean first built a successful career in branding, marketing, and leadership development, and that business and creative acumen remains one of her greatest strengths. She went on to serve as Director of Clinical Operations at Five Sisters Ranch, a residential treatment center in Petaluma, California, that operated from 2009 until its close in 2018. It was there, working with clients in deep crisis, that she began developing the core curriculum that became the PIVOT Process.

When Five Sisters Ranch closed, Lori Jean carried that curriculum forward and founded PIVOT, where her clinical work now reaches people in two ways. First, she works directly and personally with individuals and couples who come to her seeking relational health, bringing decades of experience and a highly individualized approach to their unique story. Second, through PIVOT, she leads immersive retreats alongside a team of trained PIVOT coaches at lovetopivot.com, including the five-day experience at the Glass House, where some arrive in deep relational pain, others come seeking greater clarity, connection, and understanding of themselves, and all do the kind of focused work that creates lasting change.

The PIVOT Process is a structured, emotionally intelligent methodology that helps people understand the “why” behind their patterns and provides practical tools to shift those patterns in real time. It is the foundation of PIVOT’s retreats and coaching programs.

Lori Jean is also the author of the bestselling book #HealthyAdult, which introduces readers to the heart of her work: how to move out of reactive survival patterns and into the grounded, capable presence she calls the Healthy Adult. The book distills complex ideas into clear, empowering insight, and it has resonated with thousands.

Today, Lori Jean is a sought-after speaker, trusted mentor, and visionary who blends emotional depth with clarity and warmth. She continues to train a growing community of certified coaches and to advocate for a shift away from shame-based labels toward curiosity, compassion, and actual behavioral change.

At her core, Lori Jean is committed to helping people know themselves better, trust themselves more deeply, and build relationships that are honest and full of connection. She helps people untangle what hurts and find their way back to themselves, and to the people who matter most.

Whether you’re an individual seeking clarity, a couple caught in painful patterns, or partners navigating a high-stakes professional relationship, Lori Jean brings precision, compassion, clinical insight, and hard-won personal experience to the table. The result is a body of work that is both deeply human and genuinely proven.

When you understand the patterns driving your relationships, you can make different choices, the kind that lower the daily stress, calm the reactivity, and build the secure, trusting connections you actually want. That’s the work. And there’s a place to begin.

Whether you want to work with Lori Jean directly or join a PIVOT retreat with her team, the next step is simple: reach out and let’s talk about where you are and where you want to go.

“I believe that we are all capable of having healthy relationships.
I believe that we are each unique with a special imprint that makes us ‘us’.
I strongly believe in the power of healing.”
